Is it safe to put my dinner plates in the dishwasher? This is really the same answer as that for the microwave. You need to look on the dinner plates themselves for a marking which says 'dishwasher safe' or 'dishwasher-friendly'. If there is no marking you should also check on the box the dinner plates came in. If you still see nothing then it would be safest to not use the dishwasher for your new plates.
As we all know that dinner plates are used for eating meals and are different from serving plates. Glass dining plates are preferred to china plates as they are classy and fragile. Dinner plates are made up of a range of materials ranging from porcelain, glass, wood and plastic. It depends upon your choice. However, it has been seen that the most commonly used materials are glass and porcelain. Similarly, people also prefer glass dining plates to plastic or wooden plates for dinner purposes as it looks far more elegant and stylish.
If you are going for elegance and class, look for square plates with very elegant colors. For instance, black would work well or a deep burgundy red could b elegant as well. These colors are also easily to coordinate with other dinnerware items so they are very versatile.
Again if no markings are seen on the dishes themselves and none on the box they came in then you should not place the dishes in the microwave oven. The dinner plates themselves are not harmed by the microwave oven, but often there is a finish on the dishes that makes it dangerous to put them in the microwave. Examples of such dangerous finishing are the leading and the metallic finishing on the dishes; they will cause sparking in the microwave. Dishes made of glass can crack in the microwave oven if they have not been properly tempered for the heat.
Though the food we eat is the normal home cooked meal, still eating in new plates with new cutlery adds to a nice experience. You do not have to cook new kinds to dishes to add to the new tableware. Just keep it normal and simple. See the magic that the new tableware does to your dinner.
